SKINNER IMPRESSED BY DRURY & ANDERSON

Despite being three goals down by the closing stages,football manager United finished the derby well and that included promising performances from 16-year-old Layla Drury and 18-year-old Jess Anderson.

“I thought she was excellent, I really did,” Skinner said of Drury.

“She was really exciting. It was probably about the right amount of time for her, because don’t forget she’s playing at Old Trafford in a derby with the score down, it can kind of take its tax on you. [Minutes] will keep increasing and increasing.

“She’s an incredible talent. I was really pleased with her and Jess.

“Jess has come on, she’s 18, she’s running around at Old Trafford and she’s playing against Alex Greenwood. I’m really proud of those players for doing that. But it would be something that obviously we look to grow.”

The boss expects both youngsters to have a role to play in our three remaining WSL games of the season in April and May.
